Where I spend most my time:
I chose to make my photo taken at the barn where I ride horses. Horses have always been my favorite animal since I was little, and still have a very important place in my heart.
Artist Statement: 1. My goals in this piece were to focus on realism. 2. I accomplished this goal by focusing on how the pumpkins really looked instead of letting myself fall into "the beachball effect" 3. I was most surprised about how the moments of light on stems made the drawing stand out. 4. The difficult challenge I had to face was figuring out the size view placement on such a large piece of paper. 5. I met this challenge by trying to line everything up with a grid. 6. I switched to right brain thinking when I followed the shapes of the irregularly sized pumpkins. 7. My drawing really works on the stems where there is a moment of light brightening them up. 8. I learned that most things dont need to be super dramatic in lighting. 9. I learned a lot from Rosalie's pumpkins because I thought their SVP was really well planned out. 10. If I had a do-over I would probably adjust the SVP of a few pumpkins. 11.I think the best thing about my work is the place...
